STAX MUSEUM COVID POLICY: Masks for all employees and guests are still required

While the State of Tennessee, Shelby County, and the City of Memphis have lifted all public mask mandates, the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, as a private entity, is able to set its own rules regarding masks and the safety of our guests and staff. Until further notice, masks will be REQUIRED throughout the museum experience, from admissions, through the museum galleries, and in the gift shop. We ask you to please respect our rules, respect our museum staff, and your fellow museum goers.

Persons with disabilities for whom mask-wearing poses a health risk may ask to speak with a manager and those without masks upon entry will be provided one at no charge.

We also continue our museum guest code of conduct and ask that guests and employees not enter the Stax Museum if they have a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or have been in contact with someone with these symptoms. We will still practice social distancing, hand-sanitizing, and other precautionary measures, and ask that guests do the same. Hand sanitizing stations will remain available throughout the museum. We also recommend that all of our guests and employees get vaccinated.
