I’M JUST DEAD, I’M NOT GONE: The Memoirs of Jim Dickinson

Join Mary Lindsay Dickinson, Jimmy Crosthwait, and Some Sons of Mudboy, as we celebrate the long-awaited release of I’m Not Dead, I’m Just Gone, the memoirs of Memphis music legend, Jim Dickinson. A key player in the Memphis scene from the 1950s until his death in 2009, Dickinson worked with a range of artists from Furry Lewis and Gus Cannon to Big Star and the Replacements, served as a studio musician in Memphis, Muscle Shoals, and Miami, and produced dozens of records.
Perhaps his greatest contribution, though, has been his writing, speaking, and musing extensively on American popular music and culture, the result of which is this incredible new memoir. Jim Dickinson is a member of both the Mississippi and Memphis Music Halls of Fame, and is the father of Luther and Cody Dickinson (North Mississippi All Stars).
